You can control Pneumatics from EV3 (or NXT) using this valve kit.
This valve kit contains a Servo, Pneumatic Valve, and other hardware required to build your EV3 controlled Pneumatic Valve.

 

To use this kit with your NXT or EV3, you will need a Servo Controller, similar to: /ev3-and-nxt/25-8-channel-servo-controller-for-nxt-or-ev3
