Acceleration Sensor ACC1G

ACC1G

The Acceleration sensor ACC1G detects and measures the acceleration on robot including the force of gravity. This sensor measures acceleration to full scale equivalent of 1G.

The sensor is scaled such that zero acceleration results in a reading of 50 (RCX sensor mode in "Light sensor mode"). Since two channels are used sensor is designed to derive the power from any available sensor port. Positive and negative accelerations are then indicated around center value (of 50%). Two different full scales are available. ACC1G has Full scale equivalent to 1g (it means it can measure +-1g). ACC2G has Full scale equivalent to 2g (it means it can measure +-2g)

ACC1G & ACC2G have split electric plate at bottom, which allows the connection to two different sensor ports.
