BombiniBot Whisker Error Correction
Introduction
So the way the Bombini Bots whiskers work is that when the metal whisker touches the edges of the metal hole it will return the value "Left or Right" depending on which side the whisker is making contact on. The problem is while assembling you must be very careful to ensure that your whiskers are not touching the edge of any hole as shown in the picture below.
as shown above the whiskers are not touching the outer metal ring of the holes labeled "L", "R".
The Solution
If you have assembled the Bombini Bot the easiest way to correct the issue is to follow these three steps
1. Loosen the screws to the feeler holder plate (3 screws shown above).
2. Hold the whisker in the center of the hole.
3. While holding the whisker tighten the feeler holder plate back to the board.
If you have tried the steps above and the whisker is still touching the outer ring of the hole you may need to attempt to bend the whiskers with a pair of pliers.
