    Does anyone know it is possible to use NXTMMX multiplexer, without being connected to an external supply, if overall power used to drive the motors is kept at moderate level?

    To run the motors, the NXTMMX takes power only from external battery.
    (Power coming from NXT sensor port is used to operate the internal processor of NXTMMX).
