I made a panorama using Raspberry Pi with Pi-Pan -
    Panorama of a construction site

I configured the python script in /etc/init.d before going to the site.
I attached Raspberry Pi to a car cigarette lighter USB adapter, and placed it on driver-side mirror.
Soon after connecting, Pi booted up, and started taking pictures.
It took about 2 minutes to capture the pictures. I shot two rows of 8 pictures.
Then I used autostitch to build the panorama.
(I had to then scale the picture down quite a bit to upload here.)

I power my Rpi with my cell phone cable and have had no issues so far. I'm by no means an expert in this area but i'd assume(key word assume) that any mini usb cable will work. Everyone correct me if i'm wrong.

RPi has micro-usb connector, so you would need Micro-USB cable. Any micro-usb cable will work.
The RPi with Servo motors and camera needs about 1.2Amps current, so, ensure that your adapter provides that much output.
