Line Tracking Experiments with NXTCam

Below are the results of a few line tracking experiments.
The picture pairs below are screen dumps of NXTCamView.
In the pair:
First picture is "Image Capture" as taken in NXTCamView
Second picture is tracking window for that view.
The black lines in the following pictures are actually a NXT sensor cable. The red line is a plastic ribbon.
In line tracking mode, it is advisable to use non-reflective material.

That's a nice fast line follower. Are you using Line Tracking Mode and occasionally switching to Object Tracking Mode to detect the colour patch?
Are you referring to video above? Yes, that is in Line Tracking mode. It is configured for 2 colors (Black and Pink) Black is for line, and when it sees existence of Pink, it switches to object tracking mode, makes decisions based on what it sees, turns, etc. moves along the line for short time and then switches to line tracking mode.
